About Rowayton Fire Department

Rowayton Fire Department is on call 24/7/365 and responds to over 160 calls a year from everything to house fires to kids locked in cars to water rescues. Our volunteer firefighters undergo extensive training and drill weekly to reinforce skills learned as well as maintain emergency equipment and the firehouse itself. RFD firefighters help make Rowayton the special place that it is through their involvement with many community events such as the Santa Run, Turkey Trot, July 4th fireworks, fire prevention education for nursery and elementary schoolers and the Memorial Day parade.
